Miscanthus sinensis 'Silberfeder'
Silver Feather Maiden Grass
Large, silver plumes are carried on 7′ stems above handsomely striped foliage. With the sun behind them, they gleam from mid-August through fall. Superb planted as a specimen, as the focal point in an island bed, or as a flowing four-season hedge, with dramatic winter effect. Don't cut the leaves back until spring, just before the new growth emerges.
- » Tall, clumping habit
- » Golden-tan fall color
- » Flowers are silvery-pink turning silvery-white
