Aesculus x arnoldiana
Autumn Splendor Buckeye
A beautiful, medium sized, cold hardy, specimen tree with a dense, rounded crown and glossy, emerald green foliage that provides brilliant maroon-red fall color. Fan-like leaves are comprised of multiple, lance-shaped, toothy leaflets that are resistant to summer leaf scorch. Showy panicles of yellow flower spikes adorn the branch tips in spring.
- » An interesting new small accent tree for home landscape use, selected primarily for its outstanding fall color
- » Palmate leaves turn an outstanding tomato-orange in the fall, yellowish-green flowers and rounded growth habit, a distinct improvement over species buckeyes
